This weekend, while explaining to Mark why MTV’s AMP was pretty great, we were playing some of the show’s biggest videos (i.e. the most well-known electronic songs of the late-’90s).
Orbital’s “The Box” came up, and I realized while rewatching that its video stars Tilda Swinton. Add that to the long list of awesome Swinton facts — like, that she jointed the communist party in college, maintained a Very Mature Adult co-parenting relationship with the father of her children (where he lived with children and with her and with her current lover), and that she still regularly puts on experimental theater/film projects between her Narnias and Benjamin Buttons.
