Passion Pit aren't as good as I thought, which was not very good anyway.

Passion Pit got mad that I referred to them as Hannah Montana-esque in my Spin review. (Watch their veiled anger here when @danbharris asked them about it: http://abcnews.go.com/video/playerIndex?id=7724825, about 1 minute in). I was wrong. They're not anywhere close to as good as her. Or as Miley Cyrus, at least. Have you ever seen people dancing to Passion Pit? What you see above is every cool dirtbag who ever stole those people's girlfriends dancing to Miley Cyrus.

veiled anger? we watched it and it was actually an appropriate response by angelakos to your inane remark. apparently, you seem to be the angry one by continuing to try to justify your criticism. sold out show at house of blues in boston, 3 consecutive sold out performances at terminal 5 (we were there sunday nite) and sold out shows all through new zealand, australia and japan is more telling about their music and their appeal than your repeated condemnation of them. you just don't like them and we get the point. btw, we tried to locate you in the above video with all the "dirtbags"

Please don't equate sales/sold-out shows with 'goodness' or 'badness.' Because then you'll have to like all of these guys: http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart_watch/34074/chart-watch-extra-the-top-20-album-sellers-of-the-2000s

referring to that list makes no sense except that it's more apparent you just have an ax to grind. we find "goodness" with most on that list. they all have a talent, a spark, that unknown gift and the ability to relate to their audience. each one of them has their detractors but are still successful. anyway, you're a writer and we get some information from you, but as with most of your articles, nothing more than a superficial, top down assessment and that's about it. merely something to read through. the reference earlier to our attending their sold-out t5 show was merely to convey to you our reaction and that of the audience that night. they truly put on a great live show and have come a long way from pianos last year. js, be happy. forget the negative and look for the positive. life will be so much more fun!
